 Position Summary:
 
We are looking for a dependable and motivated person to provide help desk support in a Microsoft Windows networking and ChromeOS environment.  Applicants must be able to take direction, work both independently and as part of a team, possess good time management skills, be a self-starter, have good follow-through on assigned duties/projects, and provide quick and accurate results.  There are times of the year that are extremely busy, so we need someone who can handle themselves well under pressure, but also takes the initiative to stay occupied in between assigned projects and regular duties. Will work under the direction of the Director of Technology, performing assigned duties and projects, as well as assisting with other department projects as necessary.  Training may be provided for the right candidate.
 
Typical Duties:
- Provide technical assistance for computer hardware and software, as well as staff and student user and email accounts both remotely and in the field.
- Troubleshoot and repair Chromebooks.
- Resolve end user issues via phone, in person, or electronically.
- Maintain and update hardware and software.
- Track user issues and resolutions via our Help Ticket System.
- Organize/track inventory and move devices/equipment.
- Set-up and deploy computers/Chromebooks and related equipment throughout the district.
- Plan and execute assigned projects.
- Report to work punctually with regular and reliable attendance.
- Duties will increase as knowledge and skills are gained.
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent and minimum of two (2) years work experience is required. 
- Interest in IT/Computer Technology.  
- Ability to work efficiently, follow directions and work independently.  Must take direction, and correction, well.
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills with the ability to follow tasks through to completion.
- Able to keep track of multiple projects and duties simultaneously.
- Ability to effectively communicate with others verbally as well as in writing using both technical and non-technical language.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to build rapport with end users.
- Positive and professional demeanor.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, including appropriate handling of confidential matters.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License.
- Must Pass a Washington State Background Check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two (2) years relevant IT experience; or equivalent combination of education/experience.  ( AA degree,  A+ and Network+ certifications, tech support work experience, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows networking environment. 
- Basic knowledge of ChromeOS and Chromebook management.
- Experience working at a school district.
